Obama Says Rape Is 'Not Okay
President Barack Obama spoke to viewers of the Grammy awards on Sunday night to help stop sexual violence.
"It’s not okay and it has to stop," he said of rape in a recorded message.
“It’s on us all of us to create a culture where violence isn’t tolerated, where survivors are supported, and where all our young people – men and women – can go as far as their talents and their dreams will take them," he added in the public service announcement.
The message is part of the White House's "It's On Us" public awareness campaign aimed at ending sexual assault at college campuses by enlisting the support of sports stars and celebrities. According to the Post, the president asks the artists featured at the Grammys to ask their fans to contribute to the effort.
