MIXTAPE REVIEW: Mr. James "Art of Love"

Mr James is back again with his latest effort, his mixtape "Art Of Love" which is completely different in sound, vibe and feel.

This mixtape displays Mr James more artistic side and he completely dives in and delivers quite an epic project.

The project starts with 'Baby', which immediately puts you in a Roots-Jill Scott vibe. I instantly started rocking my head and tapping my feet as I caught wind of the mellow vibes he put forth into this record. The record is the complete intro into the feel on the entire mixtape, which is a 90s era mash up with today's R&B feel.

The 8 track collection puts you in such a mood that all you want to do is vibe out. The next song is "Better" which is a Jamie Foxx infused classic that will surely be something the radio lovers would eat up.

The Tracks to look out for that are sure to be a hit are: 'Keep In Touch', 'Say It Loud' and 'Love Unconditional'.

My overall favorite is 'Holy Grail', which I consider to be the staple of the entire mixtape. The analog sounds and seductive melodies get you immediately then the beat drops and Mr James goes in.

"Got my calling out to Jesus... I would give it all to you for that Holy Grail" lines from the chorus which puts you in such a vibe you have no choice but to bop your head and stomp your feet.

Overall this is an amazing effort and I give it all thumbs up!!!!
