EVENT REVIEW: Ubiquitous Expo 2017
I had the pleasure of covering media for this huge, or shall I say Epic expo by none other than Nikki Osei of Osei PR and I must say I was captivated and walked away very educated if I say the least. The Ubiquitous Expo which comes every year is a monumental event where you can learn of the many brands that cater to beauty, health, hair, skin and fashion. I was beyond moved by the excellence that was displayed around the room from Authors to fashion designers to magazines to hair products the list goes on.
Held at the beloved Walter E. Washington Convention Center, this impeccable space brought out some of the countries finest brands, vendors and owners.
The event in essence showcases the black excellence in its entirety which is catering to the well being of oneself. I not only left educated but I felt empowered by the amount of experience and wisdom each person was willing to bestow.
Did I mention all the whose who's were in the building from Mayor Bowser, Raheem Devaughn, Nicole Ari Parker, Eva Marcille, Boris Kodjoe, Giselle Bryant and so much more. The key message of the event was understanding one's beauty and the various ways one can take the initiative to make for a better YOU.
I was able to meet a pool full of top bloggers as we came together to interview Actress Nicole Ari Parker for her brand The Gym Wrap and Model, Actress and Designer Eva Marcille for her brand First Ave Eyewear.
From Panels to performances to live driving presented by FORD, this expo went off without a hitch. As a first year attender I can definitely say this event is something you do not want to miss and as a male I was able to learn so much and gain a respect for the women who are out here making it happen and sharing knowledge at the same time.
If I could sum up the expo in one word it would be........................ AMAZING!!!!!!
I learned, I met great people, I exchanged information, I met a new group of amazing bloggers, saw great brands, acquired new tips and I drove a FORD which was state of the arts I might add (stay tuned to my Instagram next week I will be showing clips from my EXPO experience all week long).
