EVENT REVIEW: EAT Exclusive Collab Release PRESENTED BY: Shoe City
November 3rd was an amazing day to celebrate as one of DC's own Malik Jarrett created an exclusive Collab with Shoe City in promotion for the release of the New Balance 990v4. Malik for those who do not know is an award winning fashion designer, brand cultivator and CEO of EAT (elevate all the time) which is a clothing, accessory and lifestyle brand whose reach has gained national acclaim. Over the course on his brand's journey, Malik has captured the eyes of the everyday person to the likes of Celebrity Clientele.
With the release of the NEw Balance 990v4's, EAT exclusively created a new line of clothing that can be worn parallel to the shoes. This was a major deal as this new venture has not been done before and EAT's platform, now ranges to garments that fit the black and white details and caters to the crowd lovers of the classic black and white.
Held at the Shoe City located on H Street, NE, this gave for the perfect turnout. Being that H street is the newest millennial attraction, this location catered to the main presence and buyers of not only EAT, but Shoe City, who too have paved the wave for local brands to become household names.
All the whose whos were in the building from Hot Blogger Pat Is Dope, to recording artists Mike D'Angelo and Noochie, the list goes on. The great moments were capturing the love and positivity of the room, who were all there to celebrate not only Shoe City's newest release, but the new journey for Malik and his brand.
DJ Stevo kept the crowd rocking on the one's and two's with all the hits. Little Bacon Bear hosted the event with coverage from 93.9 WKYS, she also rigged the Jenga game so no one could win against her lol (Inside Joke). With Charm City Wings catering the entire venue, the entire night went off without a hitch. It was great to say the least.
Director of Marketing N'Kele Mcneil made sure the event went smoothly and I say to her and Stokey a job well done. everything sold out completely, it was completely filled, positivity filled the room and what more do you need from that it self.
