ALBUM REVIEW: Janelle Monáe "The Age of Pleasure"

Welcome to The Age of Pleasure, a utopic universe of freedom, love, happiness, vibrations and sex all in one.
Yes, you heard that correctly and Miss Monáe wants you to feel it all in this new Thirty-Two-minute Masterpiece. I was able to hear the album early as she came to DC to allow us to experience the pleasure in person and I must say I was exceptionally pleased.
Pleasure at its finest, pleasure at its most excellence, at its most freeing. When I tell you Janelle did her big one, I mean it!
In the voice of Ariana DeBose "Janelle Monáe DID THE THING"

The epic LP starts off with the confidence bearing "Float" which sets the tone that Janelle is in her bag and is inviting us in to get in with her. Then "Champagne S***" just sends us into the frequency to get on the floor and let loose in any free way you want to, and can we give it up to Janelle bringing back the interludes, the nostalgia of them brought me to the time I was excited listening to TLC's "Fanmail".
From there the album takes you on a ride of overpouring pleasure, I myself already have 7 favorites from the album that each get their respective repeatage on my playlist. Those songs are "Float", "Lipstick Lover", "The Rush", "Water Slide", "Know Better", "Haute" & "Only Have Eyes 42". When I say the album is ALBUMING, I mean every bit of it.
