ALBUM REVIEW: Nature Boi "Godfawva"

Nature Boi has done it again, putting out one of the greatest hip-hop albums, seen since Kendrick Lamar’s Mr. Morale & The Big Steppers. Nature Boi has further solidified himself as a Hitmaker sent to transform the frequency of what we know as hip-hop in today’s era.

The 31 minute album showcases exactly why Nature Boi is an undeniable feat in lyricism , melody, and just pure fire. The album was released during the fifth year anniversary of his company, Open Gem, which houses many acts putting them on front center stage helping anchor the message of why DMV Artists are the future.

Godfawva, a nod to how we say Father in the nation’s capital starts off with “Blouses” which immediately puts you in a funk Casanova and allows you to feel the groove on exactly where this album is going to go. Stand out tracks on the album are “Cold Summer” , “Red Corvette” , “Baby Fawva”, “Blouses” and the Mona Soul assisted track “C.B.W.U.” Showcasing exactly why Nature Boi is a bonafide hit maker.

All in all this album is sure to make a statement on why Nature Boi is not only here to stay, but why he will be something to look out for in the music industry.

RATING: 9.5/10
