Broccoli City Takes SW……

Broccoli City 2024

July 27th & July 28th, two words……. FREAKING STELLAR!

Broccoli City Fest held the city down for two days providing fun, fellowship and creativity. The festival was located at Audi Field this year in the southwestern region of Washington, DC. It geared to a phenomenal crowd centered around the millennial scope of where culture is moving.

Featuring performances from top acts like; Megan Thee Stallion, Gunna, Victoria Monet, Offset, Lil Yachty, Sexyy Red and a host of others. This year was one for the books as it cemented Broccoli City as a cultural staple in a way we haven’t seen in years.

What was also dynamic this year, was its heavy impact of DMV Artists, now Broccoli City is no stranger to showcasing the talent of the DMV, but something felt different this year as the artists selected this year brought a new je ne sais quoi that could only be felt at his years 2024 years experience.

Brandon McEachern, Marcus Allen, Darryl Perkins and Jermon Williams, four black men who saw a need and a vision for our area, what a monumental way to celebrate 11 years of dedication to the culture. Often as festival goers and even as media, we often are just eager to go, get the best seats, get the best passes, but never really take on the task of appreciation. This festival aside from being a cultural phenomenon, has added value to area, providing jobs and opportunities as well curating food banks and health activities that help in the goal of achieving sustainability in our area. Four black men with a dream have done a job well f****** done!

The Festival celebrated 11 years, showcasing that consistency and drive will steer you to your ultimate goal. What made this year even more unique was the abundance of content creators and epic photographers, of which I wanted to feature their work.

Checkout some of my favorite photographer shots from Broccoli City Festival 2024 featuring some of the most elite photographers to man. If you missed this year, make sure you are there for year 12.
