LET"S PLAY BALL .......but for a cause!
September 6th marked a day of fun, laughs, games and philanthropy. I know what a combination but this all happened thanks to the like of Myrtis Thweatt.
You may be wondering who is Myrtis Thweatt a.k.a Miniskirt or Miniskirt Myrt , well the 28 year old Digital Creator and Media Host is a thriving DMV native who created an entity project entitled "100 Projects". The goal for this initiative to focus in on the work and grind you can accomplish throughout the year. The project has garnered much success in the DMV and has allowed for her love of philanthropy to arise.
100 Projects in joint forces of The Black Code Talk Show saw an amazing flag football come to life and this game helped the students of the DMV area. I know you're wondering, how did Flag Football do that?, well the funds raised from the game were specifically allocated to help provide students with their own device, tablet, iPad, chromebook etc. Due to the severity of COVD-19, many students are home without the proper tools for school and this game helped aid that.
Teams of 7 or 10 should register together. Individual players will be randomly added to teams.
The game was also assisted by Former NFL Player & XFL Safety AJ Hendy, who believed in the cause especially understanding the climate of everything happening here, it has forced many of us to reflect and see what are the exact ways we can help and this game did just that, it helped many of our future leaders gain access to tools that would further their education.
